T-shirt Cutting Idea: Haute Couture Chain Shirt

Items you are going to need:

• Your T-Shirt of choice (100% Cotton)
• Mini Enclosure Rings
• 60” Round Cable Chain
• Fabric Scissors
• Non Fabric (Regular) Scissors
• Music (optional)

My Sketch book and drawing i’m basing this shirt design on.

1.)    TURN MUSIC ON!

2.)    Fold your t-shirt in half with your logo facing out.  With the fabric scissors:

1. Cut off the neckline
2. Cut off the sleeve
3. Cut off the bottom to your liking

3.)    When you done your shirt should look like a muscle T-shirt

4.)    Get chain ready

5.)    Turn the shirt  upside down (the first should be face down)

6.)    Cut a slit down the middle of the back of the shirt with the fabric scissors

7.)    Get NON (Regular siccors) and cut the chain to your liking.

8.)    Cut slits on either side of the T-Shirt

9.)    In the pictures what I did was folded the ends inside the shirt.

10.) Measure your chain

1. I started at the slit and  then measured two inches out past the slit on the opposite end
2. This should allow the chain to hang about an inch

11.) Start in the middle

12.) Lace the chain through the slit

NOTE: IT IS EASIER TO PUT THE CONNECTOR RING ON ONE END OF THE CHAIN FIRST BEFORE LACING IT THROUGH THE SLIT

NOTE: GETTING THE RING ON THE CHAIN IS THE MOST TIME CONSUMING PORTION

13.) Hook other end of the chain to the ring

14.) Repeat steps 10 and 12 for bottom slit

1. NOTE: The bottom chain should be smaller

15.) Hook each end together with connector ring (enclosures)

16.) Repeat Steps 10 & 12 for top slit

1. NOTE: the top chain should be longest

17.) Hook each end together with connector ring (enclosures)

18.) You are now done!!!!!

19.) Now go wear your new Haute Couture T-Shirt out!
