Grand Opening!
Club Monaco has opened in the West Village in Dallas. Well,… not all of it, just a small women’s boutique.
Never heard of Club Monaco?
Well, think of Banana Republic. Go it? Now think of Banana Republic with more style and less pretentiousness. You got Club Monaco!
The event was hosted by North Texas’s own Judy (Atlantis Home) and Jane (Sea of Shoes), the dynamic mother-daughter blogger duo. I had the opportunity of meeting and chatting with both these ladies. They are both so sweet and polite in person… not that I expected anything else. They also brought along their (very well behaved) Chihuahua, Kim. Now if I brought my mangy mutt he would have been all over the place. Jax would begin rolling on his back begging for someone ANYONE to rub his belly.
I digress.
Club Monaco has opened a new location in the heart of Uptown. There are numerous restaurants, bars, and retails shops in blinking distance of each other in this location. It’s obvious Club Monaco did their market research. There are plenty of women in their target market who flock to that area. As long as they keep their window displays fun, organized, and updated they should have no problem attracting more clientele (especially on Sundays when many are out having brunch at Lemon Bar or Taco Diner).
I would consider Club Monaco High Street wear. There are more than a couple of pieces I would rock if I had a traditional job (I run and operate a bio diesel plant in Dallas. Yes, I know I’m young. Yes, I know I’m female). However, a lot of the pieces are great for summer weekends with friends. Think brunches, beaches, and mimosas.
I’m done typing. Check out the photojournalistic pictures below!
The store in itself if aesthetically pleasing.

Judy and her beautiful daughter!
Fig jam atop of goat cheese. Yummy!
I LOVE Jane’s Barbara Bui Boots!
I LOVED everything about her style. The entire outfit was from Club Monaco.
Attending the Club Monaco event and having the opportunity of meeting and speaking with both Judy and Jane made my day. It was a quaint and simple opening that many could appreciate on a 105 Wednesday evening in Texas. Having cold champagne waiting at the door was a nice an elegant touch for this summer event. What was even better was the fact the clothes were summer elegant. Think old money glamour.
Leave me a comment below if you attended this event.
Side Note: I have 5 different shoots for the next 5 days! I know! I’m a wanted woman, so post may be slow coming up, the next week.

The Transmedia, blog will cover photography, video, sound, digital art and theory. Transmedia will focus on artists, writers and theorists from north, south, central America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.”
I didn’t attend but I really would’ve liked to. It looks so elegant and fun.
