Happy Second Day of Summer!
Well, I missed Summer Solstice. *insert sad face* I was so busy working on editing of the shoot I did last weekend that I didn’t have time to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. It’s been summer for the last 12 months in Texas anyway. I think it was cold for a maximum of 16 total hours this year.
No joke.
We did not get a winter.

01: FashionToast
I just adore the way this sequin dress drapes off Rumi’s body. Typically sequin dresses are so tough, heavy, and drastic. This dress appears to be the polar opposite. Wouldn’t you love to wear this dress to a yacht party yourself?
02: ClothesEncounters
I have loved these girls since they threw their hat in the Fashion vlog world on YouTube (yes, I will TRY and start making more videos again). Jenn has such a fun personality. It’s hard not to fall in love with her.
Of all the looks featured in this video I have to state that the fifth look is my favorite. It’s just my style all around. The third look is one I think Shanna would appreciate the most.
What do you guys think about the looks in this video?
03: Brooklyn Blonde
Let me be quite honest with you on this look. I like where she was going with this, but the execution was not 100% (more like 99.99%). The problem I had with the look is how unproportioned the shirt looks with the skirt. I really like the scheme, but the actual shirt needed to be about a size smaller. I understand she was shooting for a casual glam look, but that shirt was just playing with the team.
Let me know what you guys think.
04: Wendy’s Lookbook
My love for Wendy & tribal print never dies.
That sounded all Single White Female-esque.
Okay ladies, lets be honest… there are some things that some girls can wear that others can’t. For example, in this look Wendy is rocking a grey T by Alexander Wang skirt. Wendy can get away with that skirt because she doesn’t have a curvy body. However, if I wore that I would look like an instant skank. It’s only because some materials (no matter how innocent your intentions are) do not look good on you. For example, you will NEVER catch me in a bodycon dress or a jersey knit maxi dress. Even though I can appreciate this look on other people it doesn’t work for my body type. The material hugs all my curves and instead of looking sexy, I look scandalous.
05: All the Pretty Birds
Jessica Stein looks fabulous in this simple look. My love for lace is no secret so I just about had an epileptic seizure after seeing those lack black shorts. I want them.
06: Sania Claus
The extreme opposite of the look above is this one by Sania Claus. I looks like a fun ride. The jacket. The bubble skirt. The shoes. While you will probably never see me rocking this on the means streets of Dallas, I can appreciate someone who takes risk with their wardrobe.

08: Ivonne Stacey Style
This is the TRUE definition of a “thick” girl. I honestly believe the term “thick” has been lost. However, that’s another topic for another day.
I love her blog because she really understands the shape of her body and purchases clothes that follow that pattern. Every item she features looks phenomenal, but I just felt this look was perfect for anyone on a real person’s budget.

Thank you for introducing me to Jenn…I love her style! From all the looks that were featured on trhe video, I loved the blazer+shorts the most! And it looks like she might be a CA gal as well! She seems to love ALL fashion, from high-end to thrift store finds!
Yeah, I have known and followed Jenn and Sarah for awhile. They are both in LA, and I love their flair on making thrifted clothes look FABULOUS!
Sarah wasn’t in that vid, but she’s a doll too!
