Urban Street Style: St. Patrick’s Day Block Party in Dallas, Texas 2011 Edition
So as you can imagine, when you are coming to a huge block party that’s hosting a least 500,000 people… *cough* DRUNK PEOPLE. Most citizens are dressing for comfort… not so much style. However, there is still a ton of style in just looking comfortable.
I had a blast hanging with my bro and his friend of friends. Please read my Dear Diary Blog for more information on how my day actually went.
I’m in Texas sunglasses are needed as bad as football, beer, and water. The glasses of choice seemed to be Raybans. I LOVE my Rayban polarized mirrored aviators. I have had this particular style for a minute, but truth be told… this is my second pair… I lost my first pair in the river back in August. But apparently I’m not the only person in Dallas who has good taste in eye fashion wear.
These aren’t Ray Bans, but they are still stunner aviator shades. I loved white rimmed sunglasses!
I LOVED this green zip down romper she was wearing! I LOVE how the exposed zipper totally works for this carefree and comfy look. She also did a good job pairing in this look with her petite cream shoulder pocketbook and cowgirl boots. The straw fedora gave it a more urban feel. Great Job!
I LOVED this great late 80’s early 90’s inspired cassette shirt. That shit is just DOPE! I LOVE all the different cassettes on it. I’m really in the market to find a cassette necklace. I think once I find that, my life will be complete. The guy didn’t want to get his face, but I had too! He looked great! Thank You!
This shirt in itself is nothing special, but the it’s the fact that these guys TOOK THE TIME to create a dual shirt like this. I guess they were supposed to be Irish Twins! LOL! I love who the guy closes to the camera is giving major face!
Handbags & Headpieces:
I LOVE this Fendi bag!!! Is it real? I have no clue because I don’t know how t to tell the difference by spotting a fake Fendi versus a real one, but I will say that it is kind of questionable for one to bring a FENDI bag to a block party notorious for drunken debauchery. Nonetheless I LOVE the hardware on this hobo bag! It’s fantastic!
Now the headpieces where only character themed for the Block Party, but I still LOVED them all. The first one pictured is of a cute little green leprechaun top hat. The second one is a green flower piece outlined in green sequin.
I REALLY hope next week I can make it to Austin for the debut of Style X at SXSW! I’m super excited!!!! I hope you guys enjoyed this second segment!
