Dear Diary: Dallas to Cedar Hill to Austin
I had one of the BEST weekends EVER! I LOVE ALL my friends. I think my friends are the best part of my life. Without them I don’t know what I would do. This weekend was one of the best because I got to see a lot of people I haven’t seen in a lot of time.
Before heading out to Austin I stopped in Cedar Hill. I went back to my out stomping grounds to the Northwood University campus to watch the NU men Alumni team play against the current students. I’m not sure who won the game because I had to leave no later than 5 PM to get to Austin. Nonetheless it was great seeing the soccer team do its thing.
I loved the in the air actions!
About 2.5 hours later I was in Austin! First stop? The besties crib!
Then after an hour drive to downtown we ended up at J. Blacks for one my good friend’s birthday party! I haven’t seen a lot of these cats since I graduated high school. It was fun to party, catch up, and laugh with them once again. What’s funny is, even after 10 years, we know each other so well, and we can talk like we never missed a beat… that and the invention of FaceBook. I’m so blessed to have such beautiful friends (inside and out).
Last, but not least the twin’s party! Since the Texas Relays was the same weekend Austin traffic was nothing short of horrible. However, we did make it to see the twins celebrate their last year in their 20’s! Amazing! They hosted a costume party. You had to dress up as your favorite character. Since I wasn’t aware of this I just came as the marvelous version of myself.
The twins 29th B-day cake!
One of my most favorite people in the world with Baby Carlos from the Hangover! All he needed was the wolf shirt!
Another set of the besties (California edition)!
This what the night looks like when you party with us!
Snooki’s famous sunglasses really took a beating!
I thank God for blessing me with wonderful friends. I am truly anointed. Thank You.
