From T-shirt to Halter Top
- A T-shirt (100% cotton shirts work the best)
- FABRIC scissors
- Ruler/Measuring Tape
Using measuring tape and pencil create a straight like about ½ inch from collar. Draw the line from the collar to armpit making sure the sleeves are cut off.
cut sleeves off, but make sure you DO NOT cut the neckline.
Turn shirt upside down
Cut areas AROUND the neck line loose. It is okay if the area looks jagged. We will come back and clean up the neckline later.
Bend back loose area to where the threading is still there. Make a crease. Making a crease will help determine a straighter line
This is what the crease will look like
Cut the area above the crease off
Clean the neck area up
Fold the T-shirt in half with the front facing out. Make sure each side is even. If one side of the shirt is uneven trim it down to where they are both even.
From the back center of the T-shirt cut the neckline in half
This is what the back should look like
