The Clothes are Falling!
I know a lot of y’all love the Something to Wear segment, and I thank you for that. I am looking for some new bloggers to follow and feature on my Top 10 list. If you guys have any suggestion on who I should follow please leave a message in the comments or email me!
01: Sea of Shoes
I have been waiting for a long time to find the perfect outfit to feature Jane from Sea of Shoes. Jane has an eclectic style that even the most conservative of us can appreciate. I know she dressed like this for her Halloween costume as Mr. Fox, but… honestly… I would rock this look any day Monday through Friday! I’m a sucker for brown plaid. The way she featured a plaid tweed jacket with a printed tie worked well. Not even the best of us can get away with that but she managed to execute the look flawlessly.
02: Jak & Jil
Yesterday I featured a group of pictures photographed by Tommy Ton. He’s a fantastic street style photographer with incredible taste in luxury fashion. The shoes, the pants, the light sweater, the top, and the scarf featured in this photograph are unbelievable. With a look like this.. . who can ever take Fall seriously?
03: Garance Dore
What I love about this look is how it gradually becomes sexier the further you look down. The blouse is conservative and all business, while the lace skirt indicates this woman loves life, and the shoes specify that she has a wild side outside the office. You have to love a double strand five inch Mary Jane.
04: The Sartorialist
As you guys know I am NOT a fan of animal or reptile print, but this woman works it magnificently. The problem many woman make with animal print is wearing it too tight or wearing too much of it at one time. Doing that makes you look like a Jersey housewife. The woman captured shows that you can look work ready in python. This works because she is wearing loose pants with nude strappy heels. She makes the shirt the center of attention without going overboard. Even though she’s wearing a statement ring she’s keeping the accessories very simple.
05: The Sartorialist
I am a FOREVER fan of the racerback. They are fun and so versatile. I love seeing women wear them with bandue or pencil skirts.
06: Jak & Jil
What can I say? I love stripped shirt, white pants, and brogue shoes.
This look is winter sexy. I have to let everyone know that women don’t need to show their skin to be sexy. The silhouette of a woman does enough… if not more. Most men love envisioning the curves of a woman. It takes some fun out of it if you are straight up flaunting all your goodies. Andy does a good job here. The tight shirt really complements her upper body while the huge white H&M skirt covers most her legs, but shows off her sexy calves. The close toed super black heels just elongate her legs as they play with the black top.
08: Sabo Skirt
The look reminds me of how much is already miss summer. I love the sexy top with the huge bow. I’m not a super huge fan of the Southwestern print that seems to be making its way back onto the runways, but Sabo really did a great job capturing how this trend can be made to look fun.
09: Girl with Curves
I will NEVER get over how beautiful Tanesha is. She makes me so sick! *LOL * What’s even more sick? Her style! This woman knows what exactly she’s going when going through her closet. She’s also another example of how Fall and Winter can be so alluring. I could breakdown why I like every single article she’s wearing, but I’m not here to write a thesis. Overall homie gets an A+!
10: Jak & Jil
How can you not love this new take on the classic trench coat?
