It’s Spring and it’s Hot!
OMFG! Mother Nature must be on her perioid. It went from hotter than Haides, to more humid than the Dominican Republic, to TORNADOES, to raining like we are in Seattle, to hotter than Haides AGAIN! ALL THIS IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS.
Welcome to Texas Y’all.
Thanks to everyones concern for my well being on Tuesday. I was very blessed to not have one of the TWELVE tornadoes touchdown anywhere near my job or my house.
Texas weather is nothing short of dramatic, to say the least. Currently my theromstate is reading CALIENTE!
Speaking of HOT… these girls are really rockin’ the spring looks!
01: Sabo Skirt
I wish I was wearing this RIGHT NOW! The less clothes the better. It’s 90 degrees in April. If you read my Spring Wishlist you know that I’m really feeling both lace and sheer this season. The top kills two birds with one stone. Doesn’t she look comfortable in that loose mini skirt? This outfit showcases how one can look hot and cool simutaneously.
02: Sabo Skirt
S said it best last week, things are better in pairs! If I had gone to SxSW this year I would have clearly rocked this fantastic look. This year’s fashion at SxSW looked like it came right out of Dumpster Diving Daily Magazine. Geez! Honestly, I’m only a self imposed curator of fashion, but I have to say this outfit better embodies what fashion at the famous music festival should look like. The throwback top reminicies to the old sexy hippie days while the shoes are modern, inviting, and comfortable. The print on the bottom gives it that added “Austinite flair.”
03: All The Pretty Birds
It’s like Little House on the Prairie goes East! I love lace and anything bright. I love how she keeps the top simple with a classic button up shirt. Yet she adds a bit of intensity with her cat eye sunglasses. Oh! Are those Manolo Blahnik I spy?! Where is this girl so I can inconspicuously trip her and steal her outfit?
04: Amber Interiors
I’m not sure if the woman in yellow is Anne or Suysel, but whoever that is she looks like a slice of heaven. Who wouldn’t love a yellow tweed dress with an enormous bow? It’s a traditional looked glammed up.
Okay, I know Katy Perry is a celebrity and all… and I highlighted this dress on my Monday Links last month… but HOT DAYUM she looks good and I’m going to show it again. Katy Perry is rocking a Balmain dress. I can’t tell if she looks like the future, or the Princess of Cybertron, BUT I LOVE IT!
06: All the Pretty Birds
While both of these women come correct, the girl on right gets an A+. I have no idea which piece from her outfit I love the most… but I’m going to go with those boots! The outfit works for her because she understands her silhoutte. The outfit flows well with the curvature of her body. As far as I’m concerned, a solid colored peacot is like a blazer, it makes you more sophisticated in 0.03 seconds.
07: Amber Interiors
Apparently I’m not going to feature any real fashion bloggers today… just other people who are featured on their sites. I can’t help it! This coral/orange dress is perfect for late Spring/ early Summer. It’s simple, long, and relaxing. She adds a bit of drama with her Flintstone inspired necklace.
Black, White, and Studs all over. All winter I have been trying to master the Parisian style of black tights with open toed shoes, but I can’t seem to get it right. *ugh*
09: Extra Petite
The second theme of the week is yellow dresses. I love the color yellow. It’s fun, light, and youthful. Even though she’s only trying the dress on in her post I think it’s perfect because she breaks up the bright dress by using a tan belt with a gold buckle. She perfectly matches the belt to her statement necklace. If she was wearing shoes I think Louboutin nude heels would have been perfect.
10: Fast Food & Fast Fashion
Seriously, if I have to explain WHY this dress is all shades of beautiful then you may need to see an optometrist. #JustSayin’
