To say I love photography would be a gross understatement. Photography defines me as a person. I love it like I love the feeling of the sun on my skin. I need it like I need water. Naturally, I take at least ONE camera with me at all times. Hey, some people carry lip balm. I carry a Nikon. Right now I have my shooting camera and then my Holga a friend gave me (which I LOVE).
Every weekend I take a ridiculous amount of photos and I always mean to post them on the blog so you guys can learn a little bit more about me. The photo diary ranges from last weekend to this one.
Enjoy a glimpse in my world
My friend an I went to Chesterfields last Saturday. She wore a vintage red dress (which I hope to get better pictures of later), and you can see details of my outfit in THIS POST. As you can see I am wearing different shoes. I wore the platform sandals because they looked better at night. Since I was taking the OOTD pictures during, well, the day I felt the white weaved shoes looked better.
After leaving the bar we stopped at Raveena to pick up a slice of pizza. Raveena is always the best place to go after drinking. You can find both these places of Main Street in downtown Dallas.
Last Sunday was part of Memorial Day weekend. So in celebration of not working on Monday I popped open a bottle of Malbec (one of my favorite wines) and painted. Now I’m not completely done with this particular painting, but I’m getting there. It was also a celebration because I finally purchased some film for my Holga 120 at Urban Outfitters. It was on sale for $10! The film is in black and white. I CANNOT wait to finish all three rolls and see what it looks like developed. I also purchased some very pretty gold glitter nail polish on sale for $0.99. I can’t wait to try it. The first photo is a view of my backyard.
After painting my sorority sister’s twin brother called me to hang out. We decided to chill on the patio at Porta di Roma in Downtown Dallas. I love the lights in the picture. This place is also off Main Street.
I hung out with my younger brother for most of the day. I had to drive him around since his car was taken in to get the brakes fixed. Since he found over a $100 worth of giftcards from Sears we checked in so he could pick up some devices for his new business. As my reward for being the best older sister in the whole wide world he bought a batman shirt for me. What sucks is that they ONLY had a man’s large… therefore I’m going to have to think of a creative way to cut it and rock it before July 21st! I LOVE batman. The rest of the pictures are just small snippets from around my apartment. Yes, I know I don’t have any sheets on my bed. They are currently in the wash.
One of my other soror sister plays professional women’s football and after her game she stopped at Fuel City to pick up some tacos. If you EVER come to Dallas you have to go to Fuel City to get tacos. Yes, it’s a gas station, but TRUST they have the BEST TACOS IN DALLAS. Everyone and thier dogs knows it! We sat around and talked until after midnight while eating tacos and drinking rum and ginger ale (which is actually pretty good).
Have a fantastic rest of your weekend!
