Parisian Street Style
I can’t tell you how long I have had this pencil skirt… actually I can. I bought this skirt at some point in September or October last year. I was so excited about my new job at the time (did I tell you guys I actually got an even better job???) that I had to go shopping.
For TWO YEARS I wore jeans, steel toed boots, a light blue long sleeved cotton button up shirt, and a hot pink hard hat. TWO. LONG. YEARS. Since I was finally getting a traditional position that required me to dress like a lady I was so excited to go shopping.
Since I had been broke for two years I really didn’t get to SHOP like I used to… if any of you were following me before my blogging days you know that I would do a once a month haul on my channel. Since then I haven’t hauled ANYTHING. Cuz I stayed broke. In fact most of the items that I feature on this blog are clothes that I have owned for quite some time. This is why I don’t consider myself a trendy blogger. I am like the typical American woman… I have to work with what I had.
In essence, don’t we all do that anyway?
I don’t see the point in trends (see sneaker wedges). I more prefer to purchase traditional clothing and update them using accessories or just adding my personal flair.
Let’s be honest.
Fashion is what you buy. Style is how you wear it.
Trust, you can’t fake style.
Anyways… so I had this skirt since late last summer and I really wanted to wear it. I really envy the laid back all black everything Parisian street style. So I attempted to copy it… but I utterly failed.
This is my blog so I will still show you my lame attempt.
As you can see this looks nothing like the following images:
However here is the list of where I got everything from!
