Party like it’s 1999!
You know how I’ll sometimes subconsciously have a theme going on?
Yeah, this week it’s clearly my love for ‘90’s shredded jeans.
Yup, 90’s fashion is back.
It’s the sophisticated version of grunge.
Yes, I am shuttering.
I feel like listening to Nine Inch Nails, Cranberries, or any song from the Cruel Intentions soundtrack.
01: Style Pantry
This is one of the new blogs I have recently subscribed too. I love this look. It’s like old meets new. As I stated in a previous post this week that I am not a very trendy person. So when the peplum craze was in full effect I just couldn’t muster myself to hand over a red cent for something was going to have a one season wonder. However, I like the way she has made this trend stretch by pairing her blazer with shredded up skinny jeans and a pair of pastel open toed heels. Yes, I may be KINDA partial to the fact she’s rocking aviator sunglasses and a thick hardware chain.
02: What’s More Important than Fashion?
Yes, that’s the name of her blog! Don’t you love it? G is rocking the look that I have been envisioning for my summer uniform. Since I saw Whitney rock some really cool silk hair scarves idea for summer I have been waiting for the temperature to rise up so I can try out some of the looks. G, does a fantastic job of pairing a bold and colorful silk scarf with an all white outfit. I LOVE all white outfits. The elongated gold chain adds drama to an otherwise normal outfit.
03: Sweet Thing
Sweet Thing is one of my favorite photography bloggers. However, when she did a feature on Kelly Wearstler I had to add her to my list. Geez?! What’s not to like?! She is really honing in on her 90’s chic. But let’s be honest, she was probably partying hard in the 90’s. Just by looking at her you can clearly tell her swag is just the essence of which she is. This woman has pure style.
*places back of hand on forehead and faints*
04: Brooklyn Blonde
It’s like 90’s grunge meets My Little Pony! Well, I say My Little Pony because she’s pastel… and I just remember all my plastic horses were a pastel shade. Nonetheless she looks amazing. Yes, the pull looks A LOT like number 01, but the difference is she is rocking a Spring palette!
05: Garance Dore
Garance featured Rei on her blog last week. Rei is a Japanese street style photographer and in this post Garance was explaining how much she loves the fact Rei has no shame in recycling the same outfit over and over. I must say that I really love the oversized top with the baggy pants. She looks WAY comfy and fashionable.
06: Bambi’s Armoire
I know! I know! That Zara skirt as been EVERYWHERE as of recent history! I am just about tired of seeing it myself, but I must admit that I love the way she styled it with this top! What do you guys think about the cap trend? Are you feeling it?
07: Haute Pink Pretty
How lovely is her skirt?! I just love bold colors that make you stand out. While I would have not thought to pair the skirt with the floral button up I must say she has a fantastic eye. This skirt is just GREAT for photo shoots!
08: Walk in Wonderland
This is what I would wear shopping with Shanna.
09: See Jane
Yes! The shredded jeans are back! I think I am kinda in love with polka dots (dayum you S) I really want to steal the look and rock it for my own. However, I must first get in contact with a polka dot top…
I told you guys there was a theme this week! LOL!
