Well, if you guys aren’t in Texas I have to fill you in. For one weekend a year during the month of August Texas has “Tax Free Weekend.” Tax free weekend is to help promote spending for school clothes during the summer. You essential save .0825% off every dollar you spend… or about $8.25 for every $100. Well, during this time companies are advantageous and have super good sales during this same period as well. I actually only went to three places during Tax Free weekend.
I stopped at Dick’s Sporting Goods store and picked up anything running Adidas Climate Control they had on sale. I was able to pick up two tank tops (the hot pink and neon yellow) and a Adidas sport bra for $45. Next I stopped at Nordstrom Rack and picked up two pairs of running pants and two additional running shorts. I go to Nordstrom Rack after Dick’s because many times they will have SAME SEASON running apparel on sale for half the price or more off than Dick’s. While running gear is not cheap I did save a TON of money. Retail on Adidas capri running pants alone is $50 a pop. I was able to get the pair at Nordstrom Rack for the price of one. Also, the netted top that you see was selling for $25 at Dick’s (full price). I snagged that puppy up for $12 at Nordstroms. Therefore it’s really worth to comparison shop.
Not only do I wear Adidas to run, I also shoot my sessions in these outfits as well, but more on that in a future post.
The next stop was Victoria’s Secret. I really wanted to avoid the mall, but the Victoria’s Secret off Mockingbird in Dallas is FREAKISHLY small AND the girls there can be so rude. Since the oce in the mall is HUMOUNGOUS I decided that I would go up there. I picked up two bras (the most I have EVER spent on underwear) and three matching panties as well.
I would say all-and-all that shopping this weekend was a success.
As far as my goals I didn’t run too much because I have photos that I needed to get done…that I finally completed today (Sunday). Next week I plan to have more time to get work done AND run. Meanwhile my starting running weight was 141 and now I’m down to 138. That is three pounds this week. This isn’t too bad. My goal is to lose 15 pounds in 60 days so I believe I can make that. My goal weight is 125lbs. On Sunday’s I will use that day to give a breakdown of my activities and how I ate. The goal for the week is to not consume any sweets, juice, or cheese. The cheese will be the hardest part.
