Dell Laptop and Pink and Gold Bedroom Decor

Just a quick post this Sunday morning before I skype with my Johanna in Germany.  I really LOVE my apartment… and as I complete the decoration process I will show you guys more of the place I call my home.   Plus I think it’s interesting to see how others decorate their place.

In all honestly I don’t like to eat or have ANY electronics in my room (except my cell),but my friend was sleeping on the couch and I didn’t want to bother him while typing so I brought the laptop in the bedroom with a bowl of Fig Newtons.

I have not idea why I love Fig Newtons so much.

Anywho, I hope everyone’s weekend is going well.  I have some great post planned for this week!

Happy Sunday!

The Heist!

Wendy Frame Magazine

Sorry for the last post! I have been doing the crossfit thing, got home, took a shower, cooked, and then watched World War Z. I wanted to edit the photos for what would have been today’s post, but while watching the movie Brad Pitt and the entire cast had me captivated and I couldn’t take my eyes away! I really enjoyed this movie. Pitt’s character explored a different side of the zombie apocalypse. It’s almost, like, the real side… if you believe in zombies.

That’s not the point of this post. This weekend, if you have time check out Wendy’s online magazine called the Frame. This is its inaugural issue.

I have always wanted to do a magazine that showcases all my work as a photographer, and I believe that Wendy has just inspired me to attempt just that. I REALLY love the cover of this magazine. It is really editorial. My favorite spread was the Mission. Of the Mission looks Heist rocked my favorite pull.

The online mag isn’t super longs so take about 15 or 20 minutes and flip through the pages. Trust me. You’ll love it!

Happy Weekend!

Sober Sunday Funday

Well, the day after the metal concert  I attended (post on that later this week) one of my sorority sisters came back into town for a quick visit.  She wanted to meet up for a sober Sunday brunch as she needed to drive back out of state.  We ended up going to Torchy’s Tacos.  I had never been to that place before but I am sure happy I did.

Torchy’s was AMAZING.

I tired three different tacos, the democrat, the crossroads, and just a regular breakfast taco.  I ordered three because I didn’t know how filling two tacos weas going to be.  Let me tell you, two was more than enough.  I considered requesting for a to-go box for the last taco, but my sorors twin brother was there and he joked that there was no way I could eat three tacos.  I am not a person who likes to be challenged so I got into touch with my inner Ms. Piggy and punished that taco!

Probably not one of the better decisions I made, but it’s not the worst.

The taco was delicious.

Honestly, I hate the smell of food in my car anyway.

For the record… there was more than 2 Guns in that movie…

So Tam and I went to the movies Friday because I have about 5 Groupons to Studio Movie Grill that I needed to burn in the next 6 days. We went to see 2 Guns starring Denzel Washington and Marky Mark. While it wasn’t the worst movie in the world it wasn’t shooting for any Oscar noms wither. To be fair I would watch it again. It was a fun anti-buddy movie. I had a great time with it and Mark Wahlberg is just so charismatic on screen. You could tell the pair had a ton of fun while filming this movie. I found myself smiling through the whole things because of the interaction between the duo.  If you have a chance to see it I would say that it definitely worth the price of admission.

About we week ago I dropped $21 and ordered this necklace and a pair of earrings. While, I was just expecting one pair of earrings I was given three by the company. While that is great I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. Not only does it feel cheap it looks even cheaper in person. I hate to be brutally honest but I would never purchase another item from this store again.

Chanel Tank Top?

Yesterday I told you guys about the 40% sale at Milk + Honey located in Dallas (btw the sale is on until tomorrow 07/28/2013) and the top is what I picked up.  I have to admit that LOVE this tank.  It’s criss-crossed in the back (not shown in pictures)  and feels so good on the skin!  The best part?!…  100% Made in America.  The only downside is that I still shelled out $25 for a top that was on sale (yes I’m super cheap), but I have to admit that I am happy with my purchase.

I actually rocked this outfit last night at the Dress Dallas 2013.  This event is headed up by my friend and American Idol contestant, Vincent Powell.  I couldn’t stay for the entire event but I wanted to get some shots in for my blog and be able to practice taking runway pictures.  I will post the pictures and more info about the Dress Dallas tomorrow.

Milk & Honey Boutique in Dallas is having a 40% sale STOREWIDE this weekend! (07/26/2013-07/28/2013)!  You guys know I love a sale so I will be there.  I did make a purchase with them a couple of weeks ago and I just love what I bought!  I do have to be honest with you all.  They can get kinda of pricey considering a lot of their items are made in China.  I just have an innate issue with paying more than $15 for any clothing item that was made in China.  Lets all be honest, much of the mass production of clothing that comes from China is not in the best of quality.  You can see strings snagging and shirt coming undone.  If you really want to get bang for your buck buying items that read “Made in the USA”  Is the way you should go.   Milk & Honey does have a great selection of items that were made in the USA so I suggest checking them out.

I know I am going to be there RIGHT after work on Friday!

PS… All sale items are 60% off!  SCORE!
