Dallas Flea Shopping

This past Saturday my girl and I participated in the quarterly fun that is the Dallas Flea!  I have spoken about the Dallas Flea a number of times so I will spare you guys all the details.  Due to lack of time there won’t be too many words in this post.

What I wore:

My Friend

Vintage Dress: Thrift shopping in Dallas.

I totally forget the name of the thrift store my friend and I went last weekend to get the dress she’s rocking.  All I can remember is that it’s a vintage dress that she picked up for $15.  While $15 for a vintage dress may sound like a lot you have to place in consideration two things.  First, 100% of profit went back to a woman’s shelter.  Second, who cares!  She loved the dress so much she HAD to have it.

When she picked up the dress I had to admit, it was gorgeous on her.  However, I am going through the financial phase where I am buying either (a) only what I REALLY need or (b) if I’m going to get a good Cost per Wear out if it.  Since she and I are both really active people in our social lives I didn’t know where she would wear this dress too.

I advised  her if she bought it then she needed to find an excuse to wear it.

In reality she could throw on cute green cardigan and some close toed flats and wear it to work.

So you can only imagine how shocked I was to see her wearing this on Saturday to go to the Dallas Flea.

She told me she took my advice and decided to wear it out today.

Its spring and 80 degrees in Dallas.  What other reason could one need?

And I said I wasn’t going to type a lot.

On another note my friend and I picked up some cute items but because I’m careless.  I left all my things with her… actually all I bought was a scarf.   Well, i also bought some jalapenos… but I managed to bring that home. 0_o?!

In the pictures you will see below I LOVED that green necklace and that vintage belt.  I ALMOST picked that belt up, but I have hips and I didn’t work out.  I pray that belt finds a good home.

My friend picked up two cute (and highly functional) bags and some cute jewelry.  As her personal fashion adviser I can guarantee that it was all good!

Of course, the jalapenos I managed NOT to forget.

How else would you guys style my friend’s beautiful spring dress?

Cat T-Shirts

If you have been a follower of this blog for awhile then you are more than well aware of my love for all thing cat shirts.  I have NO IDEA why I love them so much.  It just think it’s the fact they they are just so dayum tacky and random.  I mean seriously, how many times have you seen someone just rock a cat on their shirts…. outide of the 80’s?!

Well, Fab (not be confused with JustFab) is this really cool site I learned about awhile ago that showcases some really cool online deals daily.  It’s kinda like the hip version of Groupon for products.  It’s cool, colorful, and actually has really unique items that you may not have learned about without the site.  I will try to keep you guys posted on more items from the site that I like.

Well, just like Groupon the deals expire after a certain period of time.  It’s usually seven days.  In the event that you miss the sale (money can be tight these days) they have a link to the original site.  You can see the regular price for the merchandise and see what other items they have in stock.    All the shirts featured came form Skip N’ Whistle.  They are straight out of New Orleans.  Check out their T-shirt collection.  It is AMAZING!

Which shirt do you like the best?

Don’t Miss Out!

Honestly, if you don’t go this this thing you are TRULY missing out.  I’m not sure how I came across the Dallas Flea… but I’m happy that I’m attending.  The Dallas Flea is an amazing venue that ONLY happens ONCE EVERY QUARTER!  This means that you can only catch this event FOUR TIMES A YEAR.  It’s held at the Southside Lamar Lofts, and it’s only ONE DAY!

This flea market boast over 70 different venues of new and vintage items.

It’s only $5 a person to get in and parking is free.

Everyone gets free SmartWater at the door.

Oh!  And it’s INSIDE!

My girl and I are hitting up this venue before going to the Earth Day festivals at Fair Park.

Honestly, I cannot properly describe how AWESOME this event is.   I don’t think I ever showcased what I purchased last quarter when Johanna was still here.  However, JoJo picked up some fantastic Indian jewelry that she NEVER took off.   Hopefully I can do a post about what I purchased this go around and last time at the Dallas Flea.

Actually click here for one of the bracelets that I purchased at the Dallas Flea.

Happy Friday and I hope to see you there!
