Wonderland Boudoir Dallas_-24

I love my clients and I love when they allow me to show off their beautiful their photos.  This week I want to showcase Maria.

Wonderland Boudoir, Dallas, Austin

Maria has an attitude that shines brighter than the sun.  I had the pleasure or meeting Maria through Jazzy, one of the main make-up artist I collaborate with.  Jazzy has worked with Maria in the past and knew that her personality and attitude would fall into sync with our vision of this project.

I love shooting in places that people don’t see the potential in.  One must look for beauty everywhere.  In Dallas there is a whole in the wall spot that looks like a falling Spanish community and I had been dying to shoot there.  Right now Dallas is going through a building renaissance. The city is tearing down buildings with character to put up highrises.  I needed to move quickly because I knew it was only certain amount of time before someone would tear down this unique area.

Originally we were only going to have a session outside the building, but when we go there it turns out that someone forgot to lock the gate… we went into the middle of this community and had a party.  It was so beautiful.  This place has probably been long forgotten. Faded turquoise doors, cleared out rooms, and uncompleted projects laced the property.  When we got there all I saw was potential.  The three of use wasted no time getting some amazing photos for this project.

The first look was experimental.  High wasted black panties, a beautiful lacy bra, leather jacket, and spiked heels.  Trust, putting together this outfit was just as fun as shooting it.  I wanted to create an editorial boudoir session.  My aim is to always show that women can be both sexy and strong. Maria was able embrace this ideology and bring it to life in this series.  I couldn’t have imagined a better result.

Next we took out one of my FAVORITE dresses and heels.  I love color in photos  and therefore a graffiti background near the Bishop art District was a great spot.

The last location was probably the funniest spot of all that day.  These photos were taken in the middle of the day on a Sunday afternoon.  For years I have fantasized about shooting a model next to an Ice Cream truck and I was able to get that.  The Ice Cream man was more than happy to oblige to our request.  I mean c’mon.  What man wouldn’t be happy to have a beautiful girl in luxury lingerie standing next to his truck eating a Popsicle?  You as the model, when would you ever have the opportunity to do the same thing?  In this life we have to live it to the most.  Do unconventional things and have fun with it.  This is what we did that Sunday.

I have to thank Maria and Jazzy for such an amazing session that day.  It was such a blast and I can’t wait to work with more ladies in the future who just want to have fun!

All White Everyting, Urban Jungle Fashion, UrbanJungleFashionA

I know it’s been a very long time since I posted an Outift of the Day.  It’s crazy.  After an event that would put any normal person out for months has actually made me stronger.  I feel so different right now.  I know before I wanted to come back… but honestly, I wasn’t ready.  Now I feel it everywhere inside of me.  Believe it or not.  I’m a way different person.  I am the authentic version of who I need to be.  There is something in me that’s back.  Completely.

The Fun. The Fearless.  The Truthful. The IDGAF Korin.

I feel more focused.

I feel happier.

I feel like I’m getting back to the person I’m supposed to be.

The feeling is invigorating.

The feeling of “no worries” is truly amazing.

Signs I’m happy #1

When Korin rocks all white errrrything.

White is my FAVORITE color to wear.

It’s been my favorite thing to wear since I was baby Korin.  LOL.

It’s funny, most of everything I’m rocking came from recent travels in 2014.

The Top from San Diego

Ring, Earrings & Giraffe bracelet from Columbus.

… okay so maybe not most of it. But a good amount.

Also, I hate to brag, but how amazing is my skin looking?  It’s dark and very clear.  I LOVE my complexion.  It’s rich, beautiful, and authentic.  I love how my skin contrast against the all white.

Yes, there will be more this week.

I want to wear more color in the summer but my current wardrobe doesn’t permit that too often.  I will say that  Kenza is making a great case for wearing black in the Summer.  Here are some of my favorite black looks that Kenza pulled recently…

Kenza Troy

I am not a fan of the peplum.  I never caught the peplum bandwagon, but I will say that Kenza is making me rethink it.  I love how she wore this look with short shorts and strappy heels.  The outfit draws your eyes to her beautiful shoulders, great legs, and warm skin complexion.  This would be a great outfit to take from dinner to going out.  Trust, EVERYONE will double take you.

Kenza Black

This outfit works because it’s a romper and sheer.  I like how the silver heels don’t compete with the rest of the outfit but instead enhance it.  Of course I love everything with studs.

Kenza Boston

I am feeling the high waisted shorts thing.  In fact I wanted to find some of these shorts before I left for Austin, but alas, I didn’t have enough time.     Lets  be honest this isn’t the most complexed outfit… it’s high waisted jean shorts and black bodysuit, but it’s the shoes the sell the whole outfit.  I am feeling those turquoise heels.

What do you guys feel about black for the summer?

Fourth of July Here I Come!

Here is a recent shoot I completed about two weeks ago with the lovely Tayana. I really loved working with her. There is nothing better to a photographer than a model that can take direction. This was my first attempt at bikini/lingerie photography and I plan to continue to learn and grow. I just wanted to show you guys what I have been up to for my personal business.

Today Jax and I I will be heading down south to Austin for Fourth of July weekend. I plan to chill with family and friends. Kissing my nephew, bar hopping, and light debauchery are all in my near future. I will also be chilling with the Spill.com group for Spill Dot Con. I have already met Korey and Leon (Martin) who are super cool… but I can’t wait to meet Tony (Co-Host) and Chris (Cyrus). I hope I don’t geek out over them and I’m able find some words to say.

Also, while I’m in town I will be hosting a number of photo shoots. If you live in the Austin area and have been considering getting some professional pictures (rather for yourself, couples, or small family) send me a message at UrbanJungleFashion@gmail.com. Also check out my current special on Living Social!

I know I have been very good about posting the last week or so, but the rest of the week may be a bit of a challenge  as I will be running around all over town, but I will trying to get something posted!

Scent of a Man

Kate Walsh Boyfriend 02

Another favorite article of clothing I love stealing is a man’s undershirt. They look so cute on women… especially if was stolen borrowed from your lover. I adore making them tighter by tying a knot in the front right. That subtle show of skin is so sexy. Plus men love seeing you first thing in the morning in their clothes.

Trust me on that one ladies.

This is such a simple yet dramatic look. While the undershirt and distressed boyfriend jeans are comfy the accessories add all the drama!

Of course, spritz on the scent of your Boyfriend.

Happy Friday!

I want this to be me soon!  *ugh*

Actually, I was invited to go to Vegas for a long weekend, but I couldn’t make it.

Instead I’m at home popping steriod pills for my tendonitis. Yup folks. Last week the doc told me that I had tendonitis, not carpel tunnel syndrome. In turn I have to pop 21 of these pills in six days.

I hate pills so much.

I hate medication period.

I’m one of those types of people that would rather sit through a headache than swallow a capsule.

Medicine makes me incredibly moody, crabby, and anti-social.

This is the worst time to have to take these pills because my friends is celebrating her 29th birthday tonight. Which means I can’t drink because of these dag-on-party-blocking-pills!

I guess I’ll be the designated driver.

Right now I’m also trying to find balance in my life. June has been a crazy month overall, and I’m still trying to find my bearings. I need to find a way to balance work, running, and photography simultaneously. The problem is that I’m ALWAYS doing something.  It’s hard to find time to just sit and think.

I actually have no plans on Saturday *insert gasps* so I think I’m going to sit down and take a moment to create a timeline of balance.

Okay? Am I the only person who does things like that?

Oh! I think I totally forgot to show you guys this engagement session I did in Austin when I went to S’s housewarming party.

This couple was so freaking delightful. I love shooting couples that are fun, know what they want, open to ideas, and easy going.

I love the song Unforgettable by Drake featuring Jeezy.  Drake totally snatches Aaliyah’s hook from At Your Best.  I just love listening to this song on Fridays after work, windows down, jamming like this song JUST came out.  It makes me feel happy and and free.  My favorite line of the song is, “I’m looking forward to the memories or right now.”

I hope you liked this song as much as I did.

Have a fantastic Friday!
