Boxing Day Picture Diary

Boxing Day 20131

Yes, she is ADORBS!  She looks just like her aunt when I was her age!  Like 2.5 months old.  My lil brother came up to visit us in Dallas and with him he brought my new niece and my cutie nephew.  After Christmas we went to the new ramen house in Tanoshii in Dallas.  He had a great time!  Boxing Day 20132 Boxing Day 20133 Boxing Day 20134 Boxing Day 20135 Boxing Day 20136 Boxing Day 20137 Boxing Day 20138 Boxing Day 20139 Boxing Day 201310 Boxing Day 201311 Boxing Day 201312 Boxing Day 201313 Boxing Day 201314 Boxing Day 201315 Boxing Day 201316 Boxing Day 201317 Boxing Day 201318 Boxing Day 201319 Boxing Day 201320

Raining on Labor Day

Adidas Dooney and Burke

Lame.

Nonetheless I was still able to jump outside and take a few shots of the outfit I actually wore the day before.

Who else is tired of seeing post that read, “Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day? “

Ummmm…

Some stuck up wives of millionaires over a 100 years ago.

That’s who said it. There. I answered it. Please stop asking that exasperated question.

I’m pretty sure a lot has changed since 1880.

White is my favorite color to wear and I wear it year round. So if that makes me look like new money, so be it. I do what I want.

Yesterday I had an early dinner with good friends of at Buzzbrews in Dallas. I LOVE eating at that place because it serves healthy breakfast ALL. DAY. LONG!

Since Buzzbrews is located in Deep Ellum I didn’t get super dressed up.

I really love these Adidas hightops, but the shoes strings are abnormally long so I have no idea what do to with them.

Who doesn’t love a good Dooney with sneakers?

I really wrote this post like I was in need of some good ADHD medication.

Fourth of July Here I Come!

DSC_0441_edited-1

Here is a recent shoot I completed about two weeks ago with the lovely Tayana. I really loved working with her. There is nothing better to a photographer than a model that can take direction. This was my first attempt at bikini/lingerie photography and I plan to continue to learn and grow. I just wanted to show you guys what I have been up to for my personal business.

Today Jax and I I will be heading down south to Austin for Fourth of July weekend. I plan to chill with family and friends. Kissing my nephew, bar hopping, and light debauchery are all in my near future. I will also be chilling with the Spill.com group for Spill Dot Con. I have already met Korey and Leon (Martin) who are super cool… but I can’t wait to meet Tony (Co-Host) and Chris (Cyrus). I hope I don’t geek out over them and I’m able find some words to say.

Also, while I’m in town I will be hosting a number of photo shoots. If you live in the Austin area and have been considering getting some professional pictures (rather for yourself, couples, or small family) send me a message at UrbanJungleFashion@gmail.com. Also check out my current special on Living Social!

I know I have been very good about posting the last week or so, but the rest of the week may be a bit of a challenge  as I will be running around all over town, but I will trying to get something posted!

Have a great holiday!

Happy New Years Everybody!

DSC_0098

WOW! Didn’t 2012 just go BY! It’s amazing! Well, 2013 has started off excellent… well kinda…

I hosted a New Years Eve/Birthday Party. Well, when the clock stroked midnight the whole group and I went down to watch the firework show going on in Victory Park. Well, Jax decided that he wanted to join us too. My friend Tam Tam was holding Jax while the fireworks show was going. Jax started FREAKING THE HELL OUT and clawed her so bad that she dropped him and he ran away. Mind you, I live downtown and it was New Years so all the parking lots where full of cars! We looked EVERYWHERE for this dog. I knew we would find him, but when 5 minutes turned into 10 then turned into 15, then it’s 20 I started having visions of my life without Jax… I was so sad. However we found Jax about 30 minutes later! He had run back home to my building and was hiding under one of the cars! A friend of a neighbor found him. Tam Tam had to pull him out from under the car because he was still so frightened.

I was so happy to have him back again!

Yes, I’m sure you’re wondering why he wasn’t on a leash. Jax is actually pretty well behaved without a leash… and he obeys commands really well so I reward him by not placing him on a leash. This helps me because I hate the leash anyway… and Jax likes it because he has the freewill to walk and run around as long as he knows he’s in my eyesight.

I guess the fireworks tripped him out. I’m but blessed he knows where home is.

Other than that tiny mishap I had a quaint and fantastic party surrounded by great friends and family! So of course I included a photo diary. LOLOL Since WordPress has changed how you can place pictures in your blog (THANK GOODNESS) I will be doing many more photo diaries! I hope you guys like them.

And now… the Photo Diary

Gobble!  Gobble!

I pray that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know I did! I didn’t do an outfit of the day in here because I wasn’t thinking… but I will try and give you guys a reenactment of what I wore Thanksgiving Day in an upcoming post.  Yes, I made the turkey this year while my brother made the ham.  The turkey came out a little dry. =(  I should have backed it at 11 minutes per pound rather than at 15 minutes per pound.

The first couple of pictures are pieces of my apartment. Once I have officially decorated the house (meaning have my studio set up) I will do an apartment tour.  Would you guys be interested in that?

Anywho…

It was a quaint affair.  My brother, Tam Tam, Jax, and myself.

I figure that I also need to start take more pictures with my Jax’ee!  I love my little mutt!

Yes, the last picture is the ONLY EOS balm this little monster has not successfully eaten.  You can see on the packaging where he has attempted to popped it open with his teeth.  I am going to TRY and keep my bag out of his way.

Don’t worry… this go around I will be back to my regular scheduled program this coming week!

Let’s go!

Fantastic Summer Holiday

This weekend I was in Austin to shoot one of my oldest friends wedding. The ceremony was all colors of beautiful. I cannot wait to show you the pictures because they go beyond description.

A couple of days before going down there I was on the phone with my other bestie’s (yes I have more than one BFF) roommate. He suggested that on Sunday we head out to Tacos and Tequila for brunch.

Let me tell you…

…BEST IDEA, EVER!

Yes, it was gringo brunch, but it was good. I LOVED the rice and potatoes… and don’t forget the made to order omelets. YUMMERS!

I wish I had taken more pictures of the food.

The best part about brunch? Hanging with my favorite people in the whole wide world while slamming down tequila shots and mimosas, while singing to 90’s hip hop and alternative music at the top of our lungs.

Only in Austin.

I would recommend EVERYONE hang out there!

After that I hung out at my mum’s house. Her place could really be featured in a magazine… perhaps next time I’m in town I’ll take pictures of it.

Later that evening we slammed down pizza and Malibu shots while watching bad reality shows.  We played a Maxim dart drinking game while I took random pictures around my friends place.  Yes, that is a Thor wallet!

Monday was the only calm day we had. I got to sleep in until 8:30 AM. I tried to catch up on all my blogs I had been ignoring for the past month… but as soon as I got up the rest of the roomies came downstairs to talk. Soon my bestie’s whole family came over and made lunch for all of us. Three generations of all under one roof. It’s always funny to see how other people’s families interact. My best friend has a great family. Her mom came over and cooked us all spaghetti while her abeulo (grandfather), whose about 85 mind you, came over and started repairing issues with her house, her brother mowed her yard, while abuela (grandmother) told us the funniest stories about the past. In fact her grandmother turned 81 today!

Happy Birthday Grandma Lopez!

I call her GLo.

Soon that left and we all said our goodbyes to her family.

I left about an hour after that, 2:30PM and it took about 4.5 hours to get back to Dallas. I was averaging about 42 miles per hour because it was No Refusal Weekend in Texas which meant State Troopers and local police alike were pulling people over left and right.

Nonetheless I had a fantastic holiday weekend.

How was yours?

New Year.  Hot Style

Since I am way behind on post there will not be a Monday Links post this week.  I’m going to try and post ALL the pictures from the last nine days up this week… in no particular order.

Since I was throwing a house party for New Years Eve I decided to keep it simple.  I’m not sure what my brother is wearing, but if there are any guys that are interested let me know and I will get him to inform me.
