Wow!

All White Everyting, Urban Jungle Fashion, UrbanJungleFashionA

I know it’s been a very long time since I posted an Outift of the Day.  It’s crazy.  After an event that would put any normal person out for months has actually made me stronger.  I feel so different right now.  I know before I wanted to come back… but honestly, I wasn’t ready.  Now I feel it everywhere inside of me.  Believe it or not.  I’m a way different person.  I am the authentic version of who I need to be.  There is something in me that’s back.  Completely.

The Fun. The Fearless.  The Truthful. The IDGAF Korin.

I feel more focused.

I feel happier.

I feel like I’m getting back to the person I’m supposed to be.

The feeling is invigorating.

The feeling of “no worries” is truly amazing.

Signs I’m happy #1

When Korin rocks all white errrrything.

White is my FAVORITE color to wear.

It’s been my favorite thing to wear since I was baby Korin.  LOL.

It’s funny, most of everything I’m rocking came from recent travels in 2014.

The Top from San Diego

Ring, Earrings & Giraffe bracelet from Columbus.

… okay so maybe not most of it. But a good amount.

Also, I hate to brag, but how amazing is my skin looking?  It’s dark and very clear.  I LOVE my complexion.  It’s rich, beautiful, and authentic.  I love how my skin contrast against the all white.

Yes, there will be more this week.

Bachelorette Party Dresses

My sorority sister is getting married later this month and this weekend is her Bachelorette Party!  Let me be honest, I haven’t been out in a hot minute.  The invite advised that the attendees of this party must wear black while the bride will be rocking red.  Well, that sucks.  All my party dresses are in a color.  By all my party dresses I mean I only have one that I can fit into right now and it’s a purple bondage dress from Forever 21.

Therefore the only natural thing to do is go internet shopping.

Who has the best party dresses that don’t look cheap?  Bebe.  Bebe is the first place I internet window shop before I go anywhere else, mainly because they have the cutest party dresses that don’t make you look like you’re walking the streets.

Since I have the requirement of not wearing color I had to find a cute black bondage dress.  I was able to find this one.  It’s the Triangle Double Layer Dress.  I picked this dress because I loved how the geometric shape highlighted all the best parts of the female body.  I am also loving the oversize cut out in the back.  I honestly have no idea what shoes I’m going to wear with this dress how or how I’m even going to rock it.  The weather is supposed to be colder and trust me as I get older I will always pick warmth over cutestness.

I also purchased this super cute aurora bondage dress.  I believe this dress is going to look amazing against my skin color.  I plan to get a lot of mileage out of this bad boy.  I want to take it to San Diego, Japan, and maybe if I go out for St. Patricks Day.  Had there not been a stipulation on the color of the party dress there is probably would I would have warn.

The Pantone Color of 2014?

The pantone color of the year is Radiant Orchid, but I this week the bloggers prove the color to be golden mustard.

This is just a dayum good photo.  I like how relaxed the subject looks on top of the fact he just has great style. I love the gold mustard against the hot burnt teal.  The detail on the wooden necklace just brings everything together.  The bold suit fits him nicely.

I told you guys every week has some underlying trend.  LOL.  I am feeling this whole preppy school girl look.  I also like how it is slightly androgynous. While the sweater is fun I like how she adds a high button up to it to make it more professional.  Of course there is nothing wrong with Christian Louboutin heels either.  This outfit works as well because it fits her body flawlessly.

Again, another playful look!   This is a great outfit idea for casual Fridays.  I am personally scared of wearing bold colored bottoms, but I think I’m going to try that look more at my new position.  I like how she also adds a fun top and then throws the universally cool jean jacket over it.

Side Note: I could never pull of jean jackets because I have always had really defined and thick biceps for my size.  So jelly of you girsl who could pull them off.

White is my favorite color and that old saying that you can’t wear white after Labor Day is 100% false.  I like how Sheryl used the white, gold, and grey color scheme for this outfit.  I like when jackets stop right under the hip.  It makes you look taller.

Yes, another white and grey themed outfit.  I personally like this looks because she looks super comfy in those Scavees sneakers.  While she could leave it that simple she glams it up with a bold statement necklace and tons of bracelets.

While everyone this week rocked a casual work looks… except for my first guy…  Stellla always bring the glam to the party.  She’s like the one girl that always overdresses, but still looks good.  I like the fun this black and white feather skirt brings.  This would be good to an evening shindig.

Sorry it was so short!  I just have been so busy with my photography lately!

Hey, Don’t Be Jelly!

Fashion, Urban Fashion, Dallas Fashion, Baker Boots

I wore this outfit on Monday (December 16th) while it was 70 degrees and beautiful in Dallas.  Jax and I did some running around that day… Photography stuff for clients, dropping of clothes to dry cleaner, clothes shopping… and my day got started super late because I woke up at 10.  I still needed to cook dinner, pick up my photos, go to crossfit, and work on some personal projects for my business.

Since I had no real business  and wanted to take advantage of the beautiful weather I wore a simple plaid no sleeve button up shirt, my fave skinny jeans, and some cognac knee high boots while keeping my hair in a simple pony tail.

Farmers Market, Sprouts, Paleo Grocery Shopping

For whatever reason I always get a TON of inquires about what I eat.  For 90% of the time I do not eat processed foods.  For the most part it taste disgusting to me.  Once you get use to eating super clean your really can’t go back.  I even make spaghetti from scratch because I love how my pasta sauce taste versus the canned version.    I also purchased a Breville juicer during Black Friday so my friend and I are going to go H.A.M on most of the fruits and vegetables that you see.  Since I’m not working a traditional gig I have more time to cook again.

Once I have mastered the juicer I will provide some cool recipes for you guys!

A Beer Sweater on a Cold Day

Aldo, Urban Outfitter, Budweiser Sweater, Guess Earrings

Holy Moly Guacamole!

Yes, I brought it back to second grade. LOL. But man it was sooooo cold on Saturday. I will tell you one thing…. Texas is a pure TRIP when it comes to the weather. I didn’t take too much time with these photos, but I wanted to get them done because I haven’t done an OOTD post in awhile. I really wanted to go all out and make a cool video, but it was too cold to put any extra effort into the outfit of the day. If the weather is any better this coming week I will try and put some effort in doing cool videos to show off the outfit.

Aldo, Urban Outfitter, Budweiser Sweater, Guess Earrings

The coat is one I picked up at Bloomingdales Outlet. It is by S13/NYC. I went over my budget to purchase this coat, but I figured the extra money was worth it. This is the only coat I really own. I’m in Texas and so when it gets colder than 75 degrees I’m wearing a parka. I have found that most coats don’t keep me warm and I have to really layer up under them. However this coat is made of feathers (sorry Peta) and it keeps me EXTRA warm. What really sold the jacket was the cinch effect with the belt. It makes my waist look thin and what girl doesn’t like that?

Aldo, Urban Outfitter, Budweiser Sweater, Guess Earrings

The sweater and jeans came from Urban Outfitters. I picked up the jeans for $5 and the Budweiser sweater for $10. Don’t be jelly. The sweater is actually a men’s but I found it in a small and it works perfectly.

The shoes and handbag are Black Friday finds. The handbag is so chic with the hardware and I know I’m going to wear the heels off the new pumps. I love the sexy silhouette of the shoe. Trust me, I will be rocking these kicks at S’s Chinese New Year gathering in February.

style

I know that I haven’t posted a lot of looks lately.   That’s due to many reasons.  The main reason is that I DO take photos of my outfits, but for some reason I can’t find ANY pictures!  Another reason is I put my work and my photography business first… but right I’m in the middle of being bored of my own style.  Every year I like to go through a personal style renaissance, but I personally have not been inspired.

I can’t tell you that last time I physically stepped into a mall.

The thought if walking into a mall is exhausting enough.

The fashion blogs are getting worse.

Not style wise, but price wise.

I feel as though a lot of the fashion bloggers are selling out to brands.

It seems like everyone is wearing the same thing… and the things I like cost way too much money.  Honestly, I can’t imagine myself spending $800 on a pair of shoes.  You know what $800 can do for me?  Pay rent.  Pay bills.  Be used on photo equipment.  Black Friday anyone?

However, I am the queen of frugal.

Etsy is my best friend.

I like to go to thrift shops to buy old furniture and refurbish them.

I PROUDLY ask for discounts at retail stores.  And I get them 95% of them time.

If a brand new item is slightly broken and is marked at a generous amount off, I pick it up, inspect how much it’s going to cost me to fix, and then request an additional amount off.  Why?   Because that’s how people who have money, keep their money… by not overspending and ACTIVELY ASK for discounts.

I’m getting off track here.

The picture above just shows how effortlessly fashionable some women can be.  Right now I’m in the middle of figuring out how to get myself to that level without having to fork over too much money.

PS… how much do you love the shoes?

Feel free to leave your suggestions below!

DSC_9929

I told you guys that I loved this shirt. Now, to be honest, the previous post this week that featured this top was done over two weeks ago. It wasn’t like I wore the shirt Monday and then wore it again on Wednesday. I am bold, but I’m not that bold. LOL

I wanted to showcase how this top can be both casual and corporate. Many places of business don’t allow the shoulders to be seen, but I work in the tech industry so the rules are more relaxed. In all honestly I could rock jeans and sneakers every day to work as long as I looked kept.

Really, the only thing I changed was the pants and how I rocked the shirt. In my previous post I paired the blouse with skinny jeans and left the top untucked. Here I have the shirt tucked and I’m rocking my favorite editor pants from Express.

This shirt has to be one of my favorite purchases from this summer. The versatility is amazing and I plan on wearing it until the last bitter ray of sunshine has dissipated.
